When this is useful

Start with the right question.

When systems expand, employees adopt new tools or existing protection needs a review, start by identifying critical assets and the business impact of disruption or unauthorized access.

What the work can include

From concept to a clear implementation.

01

Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing

Assess agreed assets within an authorized scope, then prioritize findings by severity and business impact with remediation recommendations.

02

Network and endpoint protection

Review firewall, device and access configurations to identify improvements suited to the environment.

03

Threat monitoring

Identify relevant log sources, alerts and response ownership within the agreed coverage and operating model.

04

Response readiness and controls

Review escalation, containment and recovery paths, connecting security controls to risks and organizational priorities.

What to expect

Clear outputs before work begins.

  • An agreed asset and testing scope, authorization and responsibilities.
  • A findings report with priorities and practical remediation recommendations.
  • An action plan with owners, closure stages and verification steps.
  • Recommendations for response procedures and awareness within the agreed scope.

MRONA approach

1

Define scope

Agree on assets, objectives, authorization and work windows before assessment.

2

Assess

Review relevant weaknesses and protection around critical services.

3

Prioritize

Connect findings with risk, business impact and remediation effort.

4

Verify and improve

Review implemented actions and reassessment results where included in scope.

Frequently asked questions

Answers that help you decide.

How does a vulnerability assessment differ from penetration testing?+

An assessment identifies and prioritizes potential weaknesses. Penetration testing validates selected exploitation paths within explicit authorization and an agreed scope. The right approach depends on the objective and environment.

Will testing interrupt operations?+

This depends on systems and test methods. Service sensitivity, work windows and constraints are discussed in advance; not every test is suitable for production at any time.

Are security tools enough?+

Tools need appropriate configuration, updates, monitoring and accountable alert owners. Procedures, permissions and awareness matter alongside technical controls.

Does the service include a compliance certificate?+

Assessment and control improvement are different from certification. Requirements and relevant frameworks are identified at the outset; formal certification follows the responsible body's process.
